About Seena Shah

Seena Shah joined the Conservative Party in 2015  to help build a country in which it pays to work and where there are opportunities for everyone no matter their background. 

She grew up in Chelmsford and lives in Colchester with her partner. She attended Moulsham High School and read International Relations with Spanish at the University of Plymouth. 

In her professional life, Seena has built a successful award-winning career in marketing and communications and was listed as a Top Woman in Digital by The Drum. She has worked on marketing campaigns for household name brands and leading technology companies, including Cisco, PA Consulting, Coca-Cola and BP. She is now the Director of Communications for a prestigious construction trade association, representing the voices of small and medium sized builders.

In 2015, she founded a digital communications consultancy, helping technology start-up businesses communicate new concepts. Seena is a technology enthusiast and is keen to see Great Britain as a world leader in this area.

In 2020, Seena took on a role leading the marketing and communications department at Harland & Wolff and led a communications campaign that secured a £1.6bn naval contract which will ensure the  revitalisation of shipbuilding in Belfast. 

She is an advocate for women in STEM, having taught herself to code in her first marketing role and worked in the Berlin technology start-up scene. 

Since joining the Conservative Party, Seena has served as Chair and President of Conservative Young Woman which represents all women in the Party aged 35 and under. Seena is keen to give women a strong voice in Parliament.

Seena dedicates much of her free time to volunteering in the community. This has included being a community crime group Co-Ordinator, Vice Chair of Governors at a primary school, Governor of an Essex college.

Today she is a volunteer beekeeper for a military veterans mental health charity and has returned to her role as a Trustee of Open Road a drug and alcohol rehabilitation charity. She is a real champion of community coming together and would be a strong voice for any community.
